A Baby Shower for Peyton

On June 18, 2011, my sweet friends, Jessica & Dawn, threw a baby shower for Jon, baby Peyton and I.  They did such a wonderful job!  The decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, and we were surrounded by so many of our dear friends.  It was the perfect day!

As soon as we arrived, they had this shirt for Jon to wear and a sash for me saying "New Mom to Be"

Me & Baby Peyton

Isn't this the cutest cake you have ever seen?! I absolutely loved it! And it was so yummy!

Monkey Cake Pops for the guests!  Cute!!

The decorations!

Limoncello Sangria - I took a tiny sip and it was delicious!

Feed baby Petyon cornhole boards.

We played a game where each guest had cup with a plastic baby in an ice cube in it.  And the person who's ice melted first had to yell "My water broke!"

Bailey passing out the cups with the baby ice cubes.

Jodee, Dawn, Sierra & Brandy

Tiny guest, Avonlea.  (She & Peyton will be such good friends!)

I am so glad to see everyone having a great time!

Thank you to everyone who shared this special day with us.  A great big thank you to Jessica and Dawn for being the best hostess' ever! (So sad I didn't get a picture with them.)  Jon and I appreciate everything so much!  We love you all!

I am 37 weeks!

Only 3 more weeks or less until Jon and I meet our sweet little angel!  We can't wait!  This is probably going to be the longest 3 weeks of our lives.  I have a doctor appointment on July 6th and I am hoping for good news.  :)

A Painting for Peyton

I knew I wanted to paint something for Peyton's room.  So, I went to Hobby Lobby and purchased these items:

Then one afternoon, I picked up the paint brush and started to paint something for my little monkey.  And this is the finished product.

The inspiration came from my cute baby shower invitations.  I hope Peyton likes it.

Baby Bump Update

Again, I fell behind on updating pictures of the baby bump.  I have a feeling that it's always going to be like this........not enough time in the day to get everything done.

Here is the latest on the baby bump:

Week 35:

Week 36:
As you can see, the bump is still growing.  I am feeling very large and my poor feet look like balloons.  It is all worth it though.  I am counting down the days until I get to hold my little bundle of joy.  :)

The Nursery....A Work in Progress

Jon and I have been working really hard on trying to get Peyton's room ready before his/her birthday.  It seems like we have been working on project after project.  I am very pleased with what we have so far.  It is slowly coming together.  I still have to get a few more things in there, but it will be finished soon.  I promise when the nursery is complete, I will post pictures.

Jon and I searched and searched for an end table to put in the nursery that wouldn't break the bank.  We finally found this one at Garden Ridge.  The only problem was that it was red.

But it was nothing a little primer, paint, and stain couldn't fix.  It matches the nursery so well now.  It couldn't have turned out any better.

For a few months now, I hav been googling growth charts.  I didn't want to mark on the wall because I know we are not going to live in this house forever and I wanted something we could take with us so we can see how much Peyton grows over the years.

Well, I found this one on someone's blog and fell in love with it.

So, I thought I could make one for Peyton's room too.  So, off to Lowe's Jon and I went.  After a few hours of staining and painting, here is the final product of Peyton's growth chart.

I absolutely love it!  I think it's one of my favorite things in the nursery!

33 Weeks

I am 33 weeks!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going.  It seems like only yesterday Jon and I found out we were pregnant.  Now we're trying to get everything ready for Peyton's arrival, which will be in 6-7 weeks!

It's hard to believe that there is a 5 lb baby in there!

Two Ultrasounds in One Day

This past Wednesday I was scheduled for an ultrasound at my doctor's office to see how big baby Peyton is.  And that same afternoon we were scheduled for our 2nd 3D ultrasound.  I loved getting to see baby Peyton twice in one day!

Peyton currently weighs 5 lbs 1 oz., give or take 12 oz. It looks like Peyton is going to be around 8 to 9 lbs at delivery.  I'm pretty sure my eyes got big when the nurse practitioner told me that, but it is what it is.  All I ask is that Peyton is healthy on his/her birthday, which is around the corner.  :)

2D Ultrasound:

Peyton's little ear
Peyton's profile
Peyton's nose, lips and chubby cheeks!
Peyton's hand (which always seems to be by his/herface)

3D Ultrasound:

I am so in love with those chubby cheeks!
Sleeping baby

I can't wait to see how much Peyton will resemble these pictures when he/she is born.

Cornhole - Razorback Style!

For those of you who have never heard of cornhole, it is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing cornhole bags at a raised platform with a hole in the far end.  A corn bag in the whole scores 3 points, while one onthe platform scores 1 point.  The player who reaches 21 first wins.

Jon and I have never heard of or even played until we moved to Kentucky.  We liked the game so much, we invested in cornhole boards last fall.  We purchased blank ones so we can paint them ourselves and make them one of a kind.  Well, we finally got around to painting them this weekend and they couldn't have turned out any better!  Check them out!

So, if anyone is up for a game of cornhole, come on over!  Woo Pig Sooiee!

32 Weeks

I am 32 weeks!

My bump is definitely growing as baby Peyton grows.  I am scheduled for an ulstrasound this Wednesday to see how much baby Peyton has grown.  The doctors want to monitor his/her growth closely.  I am curious to see how much he/she weighs.

We are also scheduled for our next 3D ultrasound on Wednesday also!  Two ulstrasounds in one day!  Jon and I are so excited!  We can't wait to see how much Peyton has grown since the first 3D ultrasound.  We should find out if he/she has any hair or not.  I can't wait to see my baby's precious face again.  :)

Baby Bump Update

Again, I have fallen behind on posting pictures of the baby bump.  There just isn't enough hours in the day to get the things I need to get done, done.  Anyways, here are the latests belly pics.

Week 29

Week 30

Week 31
I have to show you the front view of this shirt, I think it's absolutely adorable! I just love it!

I will post the most recent baby bump picture later this weekend.  And also, Jon and I have been working on Peyton's room, so I may show you another sneak peek soon.  I can't wait until it's finished.  I think it's going to be just perfect for our little Peyton.

Have a fun & safe Memorial Day Weekend!
